Install HollerShare
Download the package for your device from GitHub releases. Android uses the signed APK. Google Play distribution is being prepared; there is no Play Store listing yet.
On Android, you may need to allow your browser or file manager to install the APK. On Linux, choose DEB, RPM or AppImage. macOS packages support Apple silicon; Windows packages support 64-bit PCs.
Find the other device
Connect both devices to the same local Wi-Fi network. Open HollerShare on each device, or enable receiving in Quick Share on Android. Allow nearby-device permissions when prompted. Bluetooth helps discovery; files travel over the network.
Keep the receiving device visible. Guest networks and Wi-Fi client isolation can stop devices from finding or reaching each other. If automatic discovery fails, try the device IP address and port in HollerShare’s address field.
Send a file or some text
Choose files, then select a nearby device. On desktop you can also drop files into the file card. To send text, choose Clipboard text, paste or type your text, review it, then select a device.
Accept the incoming request on the receiving device. Accepted text is copied to the receiving clipboard automatically. Files are saved to the receiving folder.
Choose where files land
Open Settings to change your device name or received-files folder. On Android, choose a folder in the system picker to move completed transfers out of HollerShare’s own storage. Keep access to that folder enabled.
